This person is required to have advanced working knowledge of shipping into Africa and the ability to interpret data sheets for hazardous cargo. Duties include: Arranging collections from suppliers, advising rates and estimates for local and overseas clients and agents. Booking with respective shipping lines and truckers then handover the file to clearing department for clearance. Negotiating rates with shipping lines, over border truckers and overseas agent. Job Description •Ensure that third party invoices are processed correctly. •Payment of third party invoices. •Peruse and action all invoices with accuracy. •Ensure all pods have been received before payment can be allocated to the agent for delivery of the shipment. •Check all invoices against the latest agent’s rate sheet in order to ensure correct billing has been made. •Capture 3rd party payments on parcel perfect and compare against debtors billing. •Monitor agents billing to ensure they are not overbilling WNE for services rendered. •Indentify low cost’s and loss of profit on WNE side and inform relevant accounts data captured to re-bill the relevant client in order to avoid monetary loss to the company. •Make deductions in respect of relevant creditors if a discrepancy is found on their invoice.
